Open ASP project aims to develop a high quality marketing research and business development consulting practice to help our Business Users make better use of our software.

The tasks of Business consultants on Open ASP include among others.

• Interacting with prospective Open ASP business users to describe and explain the purpose of the Open ASP projects
• Helping Open ASP business users to define the goals and purpose of developing and deploying marketing information systems
• Helping Open ASP business user to develop and deploy databases
• Performing statistical analysis of data for the customers
• Developing strategic recommendations to improve Open ASP business users business and helping to implement them
• Develop proposal and design specification for improvement of Open ASP database software

At present participation in the Open ASP project is absolutely voluntary. The main benefit you will get from participating in our project is learning! The skills you can learn in the project will make you very much employable specialist in marketing and data mining!

Of course, once the project develops ("takes off" as we like to say) best volunter consultants may be offered an employment with one of potential clients or within the project itself

To become a serious marketing information systems consultant one should be able to combine the qualities of Information Technology expert, Marketer, Statistician and Communicator.

We obviously do not expect anyone to have a degree in any of these disciplines before he becomes a member of our team. Although you are certainly welcome if you do have degree in Mathematics or an MBA like some of us. Moreover we invest large part of our time and energy on developing our team member’s skills and knowledge of Information Technology, Statistical data analysis and Marketing.

We are planning to develop and post on-line training materials and manuals on how to develop, implement and derive benefits from marketing information system.

The very first thing OpenASP consultants need to do is learning how to use phpESP software. You can find a demo version at (http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpesp/). We are working on setting this up in Armenia soon. Also here is the HELP FILE of the program. You can learn how to use the program and help us get ahead with the software development at the same time by translating this into Russian (ignore all "code" parts)! Will appreciate this very much!
