OSA released Beta-version of OpenOffice 1.1 in Armenian

Open Source Armenia released beta-version of the first office software in Armenian

CDs with open source OpenOffice 1.1 - Armenian are distributed among participants of European Regional Open Source Conference and Workshops, as well as provided to Armenian educational institutions for testing.

The final version of Open Office - Armenian will be presented in a month, and 1,000 free copies of the office software for Windows and Linux OSs will be provided to schools, universities, government institutions and NGOs.

First time, people in Armenia will have an opportunity to work on documents, spreadshits, presentations and web pages with Armenian interface.

Open Office-Armenian provides an opportunity to use legal software for marginal price.

The localization of Open Office made possible with generous support of Open Society Institute Assistance Foundatiuon - Armenia and Eurasia Foundation Representative Office in Armenia.
