The success of proprietary software in any individual market depends on having few to no competitors. Therefore it is in their interest to remove competitors. OSS gets better as more people participate and use it. Therefore as the market grows the quality will grow with it. For an environment like Armenia where extreme competition may strangle the development of the IT sector adoption of OSS results in co-opetition where firms in competition with each other don't work solely to destroy the other firms. They recieve the benefits of cooperation and competition helping the IT Sector grow stronger.
